We, Sabine Spanjer & Kika Vliegenthart uphold a tradition of leather-smiths of reliable and attractive leather goods to last a lifetime. All our products are designed and hand-crafted in our atelier by us.
We use vegetable tanned, ethically-sourced, biodegradable hides from Italy, Firenze to bring you leather bags, sandals, belts, and small goods of impeccable quality.
Our hardware is solid brass, hand-tooled in small batches by our foundry in England.
Since 2009, leather-smiths Sabine Spanjer and Kika Vliegenthart have dedicated themselves to designing, and hand making leather goods that are as unique as the individuals who carry them.
Originally established in Brooklyn, NY and now based in Mallorca, our brand combines traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary aesthetic, ensuring that each piece is not only functional but also a work of art.

WHO WE ARE
Sabine Spanjer and Kika Vliegenthart, both hailing from the Netherlands, are master leather smiths and co-founders of Kika/NY, a renowned leather goods company. Since 2009, they've been crafting high-quality, handmade leather pieces under the brandname Kika/NY, which was born in Brooklyn’s historic Navy Yard.
The duo trained under legendary leather artisan Barbara Shaum in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, honing their skills in traditional leather craft.
Today, they continue their creative journey from their atelier on Mallorca, blending time-honored techniques with minimalistic, fashionable design to create timeless pieces
